The backrest is comprised of a rectangular wooden frame containing a central diagonal lattice or trellis-pattern insert. The seat is formed of five horizontal wooden slats. The bench is secured with bolt-through construction, fastening the timber components to the iron frame. The entire surface is finished in black paint. There are no visible maker’s marks, foundry stamps, or labels on the exterior of the item.
