This is an Engine Control Unit (ECU), manufactured by Bosch for the Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG). The unit is constructed with a cast aluminium alloy housing and features two integrated black plastic multi-pin electrical connector ports. The identification label on the top of the casing displays the Audi four-ring logo and the VAG part number 038 906 018 P. Additionally, the label includes the Bosch manufacturer part number 0 281 010 302 and the system designation EDC15VM+. This electronic module is designed for 1.9-litre TDI diesel engines used in various VAG vehicles from the late 1990s to early 2000s, such as the Audi A4 (B5/B6) and Volkswagen Passat (B5).
