A late 19th or early 20th-century four-drawer chest of drawers constructed from pine. The piece features a dark stained carcass and top, contrasting with the drawer fronts which have a heavily distressed light grey whitewashed finish. Each drawer is fitted with a pair of brass cup handles and a central keyhole. The style and construction are characteristic of British utility furniture from the late Victorian or Edwardian periods. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
