A pair of wooden kitchen armchairs, designed in the late Victorian or Edwardian style. Each chair features a broad, curved top rail over a central decoratively pierced and shaped splat, flanked by slender turned spindles. The out-swept arms are supported by turned uprights, leading to a shaped solid seat. The chairs are raised on turned legs. The construction is likely a combination of beech and elm, typical for British regional furniture of this period. Both chairs bear small white rectangular adhesive labels on the top rails, one with handwritten characters transcribed as £20-00.
