A pair of utilitarian industrial-style benches. Each bench features a seat constructed from two thick timber slats, possibly pine or fir, showing a natural grain with visible knots. The slats are mounted onto a heavy-duty fabricated metal frame finished in black paint. The frame comprises a deep apron with integrated, slightly tapered sheet metal legs, secured to the timber using large exposed bolts. The design is characteristic of mid-20th-century industrial or workshop furniture, repurposed for domestic or garden use. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the exterior of the items. A yellow tape measure is visible in the photograph, but the numerals are not sufficiently clear to provide a definitive reading.
