A weathered garden sundial featuring a circular platform top supported by a baluster-form pedestal column on a square stepped base. The piece is constructed from reconstituted stone with a coarse, pebbled texture and a light grey finish. The top contains a recessed circular dial plate of patinated metal, decorated with a central sunburst motif and Roman numerals. Around the perimeter of the dial, a motto is inscribed in capital letters which reads in part: I COUNT ONLY YOUR SUNNY HOURS. The date 1787 is also visible on the dial face. A red and white rectangular adhesive label reading REDUCED is attached to the metal dial plate.
