This diatonic button accordion, commonly referred to as a melodeon, features a wooden body finished with a cream-coloured pearloid veneer. The instrument is identified by gold-stamped lettering on the bellows panels reading The Diamond Brand and The Victory Brand. A decorative metal plate on the melody side is also marked Victory. The unit is constructed with metal corner reinforcements incised with the mark REGD NO 660893. The bellows are composed of cardboard and fabric, detailed with red, green, and gold decorative tape. The configuration includes a single-row melody side and a multi-button bass side. The instrument is housed in a period brown leatherette-covered hard case with an orange-lined interior and metal latches.
