A large scale glazed ceramic figural group and coordinating pedestal column. The figurine depicts a young woman in eighteenth-century peasant attire, featuring a green bodice and a pale yellow flared skirt. She is posed standing against a flowering tree trunk, holding a pitcher to her right shoulder. The figure stands upon an ornate Rococo-style base decorated with scrolling motifs and gilded accents. The separate pedestal is fashioned as a Corinthian column, featuring pink and white volutes and a central gilded shell motif to the capital. The shaft of the column is finished with a cream-toned crackle-effect glaze, terminating in a stepped base.
