A vintage Valor paraffin can constructed from pressed steel with a pale green painted finish. The rectangular vessel features a slightly domed top and is prominently embossed with the Valor brand name in vertical lettering on the front panel. The design incorporates a flat steel handle that extends across the top and down the side for pouring. It is equipped with a large central screw-threaded filler cap and a fixed curved pouring spout, which retains its smaller screw-on cap. This type of vessel was commonly used for domestic fuel storage for heaters and stoves and is a notable example of British industrial petroliana.
