A pair of laboratory desktop stopclocks manufactured by the British firm W & J George & Becker Ltd under the Nivoc brand name. These instruments are housed in heavy black-painted metal cases, designed for stable placement on a laboratory bench. Each clock features a circular silvered dial protected by a glass cover. The dials are marked with a 0-60 main scale and a smaller 0-60 subsidiary dial located at the 12 o’clock position. Each unit is equipped with three hands: two central sweep hands, one of which features a distinctive crescent moon counterbalance, and a smaller hand for the subsidiary dial. The dials bear the diamond-shaped NIVOC logo above the centre arbor, with the inscription W & J GEORGE & BECKER LTD. and BIRMINGHAM & LONDON printed below.
