An upcycled console or work table in the industrial style, featuring a rectangular top crafted from three reclaimed wooden planks. The timber shows visible knots and a natural grain pattern. The top is mounted to a cast iron treadle sewing machine base of Victorian design. The base is composed of two A-frame supports with decorative openwork, joined by a central stretcher. Functional components including a lattice-work treadle plate and a large spoked drive wheel are retained. A central oval medallion is located on the cross-stretcher, however, no maker’s marks are clearly identifiable.
