Start price: £10

Buyer's Premium:

A British Mark II steel helmet, a standard pattern used by British and Commonwealth forces during the Second World War. The helmet is constructed of non-magnetic manganese steel in the Brodie pattern, featuring a shallow, circular bowl and a wide, flat brim with a separate steel rim binding. The exterior surface retains much of its original dark-coloured, rough-textured anti-glare paint finish. A white rectangular inventory sticker with the handwritten number 140 is applied to the crown, and a smaller sticker fragment is visible on the edge of the brim. No manufacturer marks, dates, or heat treatment numbers are visible on the exterior of the helmet in the current view.
