A George III style chest of drawers featuring a two-over-three configuration. The drawer fronts are finished with highly figured flame-mahogany veneers, decorated with wide crossbanded borders and lightwood stringing, possibly satinwood or boxwood. The chest is fitted with period-style brass hardware, including batwing-shaped backplates with swan-neck handles. The three long drawers are further detailed with matching shaped brass escutcheons. A small inventory mark or lot number reading J88 is stamped on the right-hand edge of the second long drawer front. Modern retail stickers are present on the top right drawer, including a red sticker marked REDUCED and handwritten pricing. The construction appears consistent with late 18th or early 19th-century cabinet making techniques, although the secondary timber is not visible.
