A large mid-century studio pottery vase of baluster form with a wide, tapering neck and flared rim. The earthenware piece is finished with a matte, textured surface and features hand-decorated sgraffito and painted bands in a rustic palette of deep brown, cream, and ochre. The decorative scheme consists of a central band with alternating geometric diamond motifs and circular medallions containing stylised floral or star patterns, enclosed by multiple horizontal bands of wavy zigzag lines and solid colour rings. The unglazed base is inscribed with handwritten marks in black pigment reading 2245/37, ITALY, and the initials RBS.
