A pine chest of drawers featuring a traditional configuration of two short drawers over three long graduated drawers. The piece is constructed from solid pine, showing a prominent natural grain and numerous knots characteristic of nineteenth-century utilitarian furniture. Each drawer is equipped with a pair of turned wooden knobs. The chest is designed with a flat top and rests on a simple, solid plinth base. The wood has a light-toned waxed or stained finish. A separate pine superstructure or dresser top is partially visible resting on the main chest.
