An oval coffee table featuring a printed reproduction of a 17th-century style world map top. The decoration depicts a double-hemisphere world map, based on the Nova Totius Terrarum Orbis Geographica Tabula by Willem Blaeu. The map design includes period cartographic elements such as sailing vessels, celestial diagrams located at the upper and lower centre, and a group of figures with an armillary sphere to the lower left corner. The top surface is finished with a protective clear lacquer or laminate coating. The table is constructed with a dark mahogany-stained wooden base, featuring four short cabriole-style legs terminating in pad feet. The legs are joined by a shaped solid stretcher base. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the piece.
Dimensions: Length approximately 90-100 cm.
