A large garden planter of tapered cylindrical form, crafted from a heavy-bodied stoneware or earthenware. The exterior is finished with a glossy light grey glaze and features relief-moulded bee motifs in an unglazed terracotta-toned clay, applied using a sprigging technique. The vessel is topped with a prominent rolled bullnose rim. The design is characteristic of contemporary garden pottery, such as the Woodlodge Bee Kind collection, although no manufacturer marks or stamps are visible on the exterior body.
