A heavy-duty cast iron garden parasol base of circular form. The base features a decorative openwork design consisting of interlocking stylised celtic knot or circular motifs within a stepped outer rim. To the centre is a vertical black-painted metal receiving tube, fitted with a single plastic-headed thumb screw for securing an umbrella or parasol pole. The casting shows a weathered black finish. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the casting. A small rectangular white adhesive label is present on the central tube with illegible characters.
