This contemporary upcycled piece consists of a mahogany bow-front chest of drawers featuring two short drawers over three long, graduated drawers. The frame and top are finished in a dark mahogany tone, and the unit sits on a solid plinth base. The drawer fronts have been modernised with an aftermarket decoupage application of floral-patterned wallpaper. The pattern depicts large-scale white roses on a muted blue and grey ground. The drawers are fitted with circular white ceramic or porcelain knobs featuring a textured floral relief and polished metal centres. A handwritten card tag attached to the upper drawer knob identifies the decorative finish as Laura Ashley wall decoupage.
